Prisons

One of the largest prisons in the country stands in the diocese, built for 8000 and now accommodating nearer 14000, many awaiting trial for long periods. There is a smaller prison in Vereeniging in the south of the diocese. Teams who visit and leads Alpha courses are co-ordinated by the diocese and actively supported by the Bishop through quarterly meetings at his home.
